I accompany families impacted by police violence and other injustices by offering accessible explanations of legal systems stacked against them, organizing alongside community, and advocating through public testimony and narrative work.
This work often involves moving between public settings, behind-the-scenes research, and sustained relationships with impacted families. I have a long-term commitment to accompany and never forget.
Selected Work
Accompaniment for the Góngora Pat Family
Since the 2016 killing of Luis Góngora Pat by SFPD, I have accompanied his family in seeking justice — through community organizing, direct support, public speaking, and maintaining visibility for his story.
Unsettled Essays on Police Violence
Several of my essays and testimonies reflect on the afterlives of state violence — mourning, resistance, and the role of public memory. These include writings on Alex Nieto, Luis Góngora Pat, and the Frisco500 uprising.
Testimony & Public Commentary
I’ve spoken at press conferences, public hearings, and advocacy campaigns to challenge police impunity, drawing from legal research, lived experiences, and storytelling as tools for systems change.
