My practice moves through research, storytelling, and advocacy. I strive to approach this work through trust-building, shared inquiry, and a commitment to collective repair.
Community-Led Research
I work with Latine immigrants through folklife-based participatory action research to co-create investigations grounded in lived and shared experiences.
Storytelling
I follow stories that linger: stories of migration and mourning, of steadfast care, of histories at risk of being erased — mostly threading through and out of the Mission District. Through nonfiction writing, photography, and collaborative installations, I work against erasure, hoping for repair.
Advocacy
I accompany families impacted by police violence and other injustices by offering accessible explanations of legal systems stacked against them, organizing alongside community, and advocating through public testimony and narrative work.
